Fight for Life Club Foundation
Our Mission
We believe every child is a fighter. At the Fight For Life Club Foundation, we support children in need of life-saving liver transplants who cannot afford them. We provide financial and logistical support for transplant-related medical care, promote live organ donation, and collaborate with leading medical institutions in Mexico to improve access to transplant programs. Our mission is clear: to give every child a second chance at life.
What We Do
We work with public hospitals and medical specialists to:
- Identify children urgently needing liver transplants.
- Assess each case with medical teams.
- Fund transplant surgeries, pre- and post-operative care, donor testing, and recovery support.
- Provide safe living conditions for children before and after the transplant (e.g., recovery rooms).
- Educate communities on organ donation and raise awareness about live organ donation.
- Support families emotionally and logistically throughout the transplant process.
We also facilitate international collaboration and medical training to help build long-term transplant capacity in public hospitals.
Why We Exist
Our founder, José Manuel Cadena Ortiz de Montellano, is a liver transplant survivor. After receiving a second chance at life, he created the Fight For Life Club to ensure no child dies waiting for a transplant simply due to poverty. Witnessing firsthand the challenges of finding a donor and affording treatment, he committed himself to building a foundation that could close this gap—one child at a time.

Our Impact (since 2021)
Governance and Transparency
The Fight For Life Club Foundation is a registered non-profit organization. We are in the process of formalizing our 501(c)(3) status in the U.S., and we have implemented internal controls to ensure:
- All donations are directly allocated to supporting transplant patients and their families.
- Financial reports and case summaries are accessible to sponsors and donors.
- Medical collaborations and surgeries are fully verified and documented.
We value transparency, compassion, and results. Donors receive regular updates and evidence of impact, including video stories, recovery progress, and direct communication with supported families when necessary.
Our achievements include:
- Supporting over 6 children with liver transplants or major liver-related surgeries.
- Raising 1.5 million pesos in a single campaign for a dual surgery for a girl named Fátima.
- Facilitating 2 pediatric live-donor liver transplants during a historic week at the National Institute of Pediatrics (INP).
- Providing ongoing post-transplant care and at-home rehabilitation for children like Johnny and Liam.
- Expanding a growing network of donors, surgeons, and hospital partnerships that save lives every month.
Every number reflects a transformed life. Every success story represents a child who now has the chance to laugh, grow, and dream.
